@... Ratbat – Ah ok that was her in Panel 4, I didn’t know it was the Seaplane I though it was that one from Calamity’s last couple pages that seemed to be in charge lol. And I bet it’s hard to get all your ideas out as you work on each panel and also do original art and all the other stuff behind the scenes.

@Ratbat – Yeah I was rooting for Big Momma Truck, she seemed concerned about Eich from the beginning of B-Sides and had to have one of the planes basically beg her not to take him to get help. Then other panels she was in the background even if she wasn’t being used that scene just watching.
The Seaplane in Panel 14 B-Sides concern for Eich just seemed to come out of nowhere because I didn’t notice her in any of the other panels and never interacted with Eich. Maybe I overlooked it but I reviewed the comic seeing if she ever was in the background watching but I didn’t notice her like I did Truck Momma.
@zara: this is my fault. Truck-mom was never meant to show up for more then one or 2 pages, and tim is referencing page 4 when sea plane was sending truck-mom secret messages. I just didn’t spend enough time on that (never enough time)
This means I’m going to have to go extra hard on emphasis in the next 8 or so pages how much that plane was talking behind the scenes.

I called it on the 7th about the seaplane, though I am going to admit I was routing for Momma Truck to get him. I half expected the truck to get blown up or something since she seemed close to ‘Mr Eyec.’

She didn’t have a name till peeps on discord insisted on calling her that. I like her too. I like “tim the tug” as well, but these little side characters were never meant for more then a couple of pages.

@clog: haha! You know I kept thinking to myself (don’t ruin the tone of this by being silly!) but people seem to respond the most to these silly expressions and chibi style interludes.

As for Real Dire machine stuff, It’d be great to have something like this irl, especially now in quarantine. But until the universe grants me God powers, Cyberpunk 2077 in September will have to do.
I like this side story, normal-ish people coping with the new world, very entertaining to see.
Hey hey, page 13 of B-Side I think we finally see the ‘Human’s’ Future love interest in the seaplane. Compared it to Page 2 of the Original Comic and it has the same wheels, floats, and stripe down the sides! I should have been a detective 😉
@Zara: you have a good eye! Its been a while since I finished the Atoll lab story, but all of these stories wrap back around to that little seaplane baby girl and her family. Calamity and B-Side are no exception.
Glad the site is back and I kept checking, that was quite a little comic posting in B-Side! I don’t know why, but for some reason I’ve fallen in love with the tanker truck lol.
Out of all the years I’ve been reading your comics and watching your artwork… The Pelican in the new B-Side page 7 comic made me do a double take. I think it’s the Mechanic hallucinating, but I guess I’ll find out next posting.
