Slim pickins

I don’t have much to say atm that cant or should not be added to a main blog post.  although I will say that I did recently see the tank movie “Fury” with brad Pitt and I thought it was fucking great. Its got an 80% on rotten tomatoes (and if you know anything about rotten tomatoes critics, the critics usually hate anything that isn’t a Disney animation or an art house film.. but they loved the tank movie). Now I am not a tank historian, Nor do i play World of tanks (I am a WT: GF kinda gal) I would say that my star citizen buddies arm-chair critique that the movie is historical inaccurate is in fact mostly bullshit and that this film is about as accurate as can be on how fucking shitty it really was to be a tank commander in WWII. if your in the mood for something gritty along the lines of  ‘Saving private Ryan” Then you are in the mood for “Fury” especially if you like Tanks. (Spoilers: there is a tiger tank scene and it fucks the Americans Up!!)  seriously go see it: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/fury_2015/

Yes mine is, I use that as my personal/friend email, and another as a professional. If you were referring to me, that’s the same one as my Tumblr, so far I see no difference in apearance, I don’t know much about websites but can teach you the ins and outs of a tank.

I would love to. I’m mot finished with the story yet it has been slow writing because I crushed my dominant hand. I was helping my friend fix his truck when the alternator fell of and hit my hand hard.

Well it took me almost an hour to figure out how Tumblr works, let’s see how long it takes me to figure this out! Bets anyone? I’m not sure how I should post the story, super compile the shit out of it or stagger it, I’m not sure, any suggestions Ratbat?

I haven’t been an any SWC forums or FA, and, I’ve been thinking about living machines all my life. All of it. It started getting sexual as I matured, I mean, I still remember one of the first ones I had, he was a soviet leased T-55 from the game “Dessert Storm” named “Shower Tank” I look back on my life and find I was fucking high for most of it… Anyway, I love almost any vehicle out there, and some other turn-ons are messed up but I’m vastly a mechaphile, and I’m holding on to what human attractions I have left. I’m not gay, although when viewed in third person what my friends and I do could be called homosexual… meh, I am a major vehicle and weapon enthusiast, I love Titanic, she was my first ever obsession, I could tell you ANYTHING about her… I digress, I love anything naval and I love land vehicles and planes, my obsessions have travelled throughout all the subjects, but I shine in WWII and Titanic history, overall I’m a military history buff, I’m rambling on, but yes I am a WoT player, it’s my favorite game. I play on the Xbox, and actually many things in the story can trace back to WoT with my friends, or just my friends and I joking around about either the story or just joking around, I have many more stories in my head and every morning a new fantasy rolls in my head, insanity can be annoying but I love every minute of it. To answer most of your tumblr questions: they do flip out, you never see anyone but Hansel and his crew because she was last to reveal herself, being shy, but Hansel breaks her shyness and she makes the crew freak out, Bankers an oddball, and Inbred already figured it out, and in the most recent chapters, the Colonel says he knew Hansel’s father, AND a female German WWI tank, both knew each other, might be why Hansel might be ok with Marion, and why he’d talk to her unknowingly, his father passed on that prefound acceptance of living machines… 331 is a coincidence, it’s the number of my favorite Tiger I model I have, the female tank crew is actually a parody of Russia’s “Night Whitches” a night bomber group of all female pilots, and it would have been possible, viewing the effectiveness of the Russian female fight groups, German brass pushes for a female battle group, and as said to get them as experienced as possible, stick them in a veteran tank. They wouldn’t tell Hansel because he had already been assigned to a living tank, same with Adam “Whacker” Kirkman, and expected him to tell the others and help them through when they met Marion, but the former didn’t know the Tiger was alive and the latter didn’t show herself except to Hansel, who pressured her to show the others by useng the sex tool. Kramia was ready to switch because 1. Her love is on that side, 2. They wouldn’t keep them together if Mini Rommel switched, would have tested and interrogated him behind the front, 3. They don’t treat machines the same in Russia, 4. They’ve been together for over two years, she’s only seen a war torn Russia, and has no connections to her birthplace. I don’t know if there will be a string villain like the batman’s Joker, and I don’t know if it’ll be a chronicle, it all may be intertwined, my stories I have on my mind, but I’m not sure. We’ll see, anything else? Oh yeah, I wrote this to share a piece of my mind, I can’t find much anything about old WWII vehicles getting love, and much of anything I find is extremely illogical and all fictional, no WWII accuracy at all except it’s a war of allies against axis. It annoys me so I said “fuck it, I’ve been thinking of this for a while now, might as well…” Bada bing bada boom, watch the story bloom.

Thanks, I knew I forgot something. While I’m in a comment already, Ratbat would you say I could properly name the people whose stories you post here and this website on one of my story posts? I want to properly give credit to all the people who inspired me. You helped a lot by sharing all these magnificent pictures and stories and I want to share it with what few of us there are globally.

You forgot the Fritz X an air launched anti-ship “smart bomb” that was remotely controlled by a bomber in the aircraft it was launched from. One was used on the HMS Warspite it penetrated through six decks and blew out a hole in the bottom. The ship was out of commission for a year.

Actually, the only real inaccurate thing is the Tiger bouncing off the broadside of Fury, that was an 88 long barreled anti tank gun that originated from an 88 Flak designed to lob a ~20lb explosive 2-3 miles straight up to rip allied bomber up, point it at a tank whose armor is a mere 35mm on the side and there’s no way it won’t go through, everything else is accurate, the Nazi’s hanged Germans who didn’t fight, they bombarded and burned their own cities and people, and sent poorly trained gun crews against us, that’s the reason all those anti tank shots missed early in the movie. If this were 1944 in France, the tale would be a lot different: the anti-tank guns wouldn’t miss, the PanzerFausts would be more effective and that line of Sherman’s against the Tiger would have been completely destroyed. The Panzer IV is a great match for the Sherman M4, a T-34 would wreck a M4, and a T-34-85 would be a good match for a M4A2E8 “Easy 8” tank like Fury is, but the Panther is better than a T-34-85, therefore better than an Easy 8, a Tiger I was beatable by T-34-85s because of the 85, spicifically designed to pen the front of Tigers. Americans never fought Tigers or Panthers until Normandy, and tank crews where shocked when an American tank crew drove to base in a captured Tiger with 76+ shot bounce marks.
Don’t get me wrong, the Sherman series is a great series and I’d make love to one anytime, but in a WWII tank-on-tank fight, I’d go for the German medium Panther tank of the late war era, when all the problems of the first ones are gone, and if it were an infantry support role, like tank-on-infantry, I’d definatly go for a Sherman. They were built as infantry support, not anti-tank or for tank battles and they relied on overwhelming numbers to swarm the Germans and hit them from behind, one way to tell is the gasoline engines. Sherman’s we’re nicknamed “Tommy Cookers” because whenever they got hit by a German round and penetrated, the gasoline engine would throw gasoline everywhere, and ignite instantly, leaving only 3-4 seconds for the crew to escape, which only 1-2 of the 5 did unharmed. The Germans ran on Petrol, like gas it is very combustible but when hit directly it vaporizes, instead of combusting, and burns slower than gas but not as slow as diesel, which the Russian and early German tanks used. If you say the Sherman or T-34 was the best tanks and that the German tanks sucked, you are sadly wrong and subjected to American propaganda, do some outside research, history is written by the victor while truth is buried with the survivors and the dead who will never speak of their experiences. The modern tanks are all pretty much equal, any all lessons have been learned so don’t think that American tanks are inferior now, they aren’t, all the MBTs of France, America, Germany, Great Britian, and maybe Russia are the best of the best in armor, guns, mobility, survivability and effectiveness. When researching the Germans in WWII, you’ll sed that we still use much of their technology: torsion bar hydrolics, vertical/horizontal stabilizer, flying wing of the Horton 229, jet engines, swept back wings, the V2 inter-continental ballistic missle system (BTW the Germans won the space race before it began, V2 broke the atmosphere and entered space whenever they were used), assault rifles, remote control weapons, hovercraft, even VTOLs and helicopters Germany built all before we did, and they probably built a hell of a lot more but that’s all than comes to mind as of right now. Fact is half of what the Germans built in the 40s IS STILL considered advanced technology TODAY, quite scary right? Think what if Germany produced those experiments as standard use weaponry? Thank god we rushed to beat them, otherwise we could all be speaking German right now.
