@foxtrot: I know that huge appeal comes from the emotions depicted on the faces. We can always have multiple styles that emphasize “cutesy” and “Serious business” when the situation calls for it. You wouldn’t believe how many people do not take my work seriously because the “Toony” look made the planes too jarringly unrealistic like My Little Pony stuff. Machines already have a suite of sensors and cameras that act like Multy-eye. This couches in really nicely with the lovecraftian vibe I hope to one day achieve.
