I’m not if anybody cares, but since I mentioned it last month I wanna vent.
My birthday was yesterday and it was fucking awful. I spent the whole day inside mostly sitting on the couch staring up at the ceiling and face timing a few people. My parents both sand happy birthday to me over the phone, which was somewhat surreal. Easily the most depressing birthday I’ve ever had.
Screw this virus, man. I wanted to see my family again.

It looks way too much like Kingdom Hearts for my liking. I liked that series when I was 13, not so much now. FF also lacks the silly edge that series has to make it work. I like the idea of changing the story and core game into something new, remakes shouldn’t be 1:1 recreations of a game but with better graphics – that’s what remasters are for.
I tried to get into Disco Elysium, but the political edge was a big turn off for me. There are multiple paths you can go down, but it’s obvious which one the devs think is “right” or at least the best out of the situation. Wasn’t as clever as something like Deus Ex was.

Yeah, all those images I posted are mine. I haven’t played FF7RE, I’ve heard mixed things about it.
COVID has affected us all negatively in some way. I’ve been drawing a lot more. I’m very sorry to hear about you losing your job, a lot of people I know are unemployed at the moment as well. The rates of joblessness are at all time highs right now, aren’t 1 out of every 7 Americans above 21 currently unemployed? I’m thankful my job is fine.
And about me? My birthday is coming up on the 7th, I haven’t seen a lot of my family in years and they were going to fly over to see me. We had a whole party planned with a hotel and a dinner hall booked
Now all of that is cancelled. They can’t even send over the fucking gifts.
It’s absolutely soul-crushing man, I’m going to spent it alone in my house as any other day..
@Anon: While Jim sterling defended ff7 as a “quirky re-imagining” he mentioned that the ending would be very divisive especially if you were an old fan who took what was written on the box as a dead-to-real 1 for 1 remake (as 99% of remakes usually are). Ive heard that Tetsuya Nomura started introducing some of his patented Nonsensical kingdom hearts bullshit into it.. if that is the case i dont need to waste my time… at full price.(After Disco Elysium, its hard to waste your time on nonsensical weebo stories no matter how good the art is).
